清洁度检测是一项悠久的产品质量指标,主要是指零件或产品表面污染物的种类、形状、尺寸和数量等。只要通过对缺陷案例的观测和分析,就清楚的看到清洁度对于产品质量的影响,例如在发动机异响的处理过程中,可以发现异响是由于细小的铝屑颗粒混杂在配合面之间而造成的.在汽车发动机的制造过程中,发动机零件清洁度的劳动量约占到整个发动力生产过程中10~20%的劳动量。
据VDA-19的描述,弱化/避开小颗粒测试时近来的发展趋势,对于许多实际案例,5-50μm是没有相关性的,并且对那么小的颗粒进行分析甚至是一种工作的阻碍,因为对那么小的颗粒进行分析工作量很大。因此,现在已将颗粒大于50μm的颗粒分析作为标准化。而只有少数的特殊案例需要分析颗粒小于50μm的。
